A Charming Flat in Vasant Kunj

We were approached by Mr and Mrs Anand of Vasant Kunj to remodel their existing house. It was a home renovation. This charming couple wanted to make their house modern and comfortable. Our team of interior designers met with them and after much discussions and ideating we arrived at some aesthetic and beautiful designs for some of their rooms.

Mr. Anand had emphasized his desire for pastel colours for his house. Therefore our interior designers selected some suitable colours for every part of the house.
In the children’s bedroom, the bed was placed in the niche with a wallpaper at the bedback. The choice of wallpaper was very much in line with the Anand’s. Soothing pastels and veneer were suggested by our interior designers on both sides of the bed. We also gave a vertical cove lighting.

The existing wardrobe was extended for more storage purpose, followed by a study unit. The finishes on the wardrobe are similar with that of the bed back so as to keep everything well coordinated. The idea of wardrobe extension was quite creative in terms of space saving and usability.

The living room was another room we enjoyed working upon. Our team of experienced interior designers started by giving the room a fantastic false ceiling design.
If we talk of the accent wall, the POP beading with wallpaper finish created a subtle sophistication. The bay window definitely added character and was a soothing way to invite the greenery in. Enjoying a cup of tea at the window seat was something Mrs Anand fancied and we had to incorporate this via this bay window. The veneer cladding just accentuated the area further.
The team decided to give a ‘green’ partition to demarcate the foyer from the living wherein we placed neat planters in an interesting pattern. This was indeed appreciated by our generous clients.

The Anands were of course particular about the master bedroom and we paid special attention to every detail. Marks Dzyn combined wood and brass in a unique way so as not make the room look overbearing. The wooden slats to the left of the bed made the wall look taller and elevated the room from being simple to stylish. The textured wallpaper at the bed back enhanced with brass strips added that bit of lustre. Our interior designers kept the grey tones running from wallpaper to wardrobe laminates. A glossy laminate just completed the look. Despite the grey colours the lighting was effective. The side table in very light grey was apt for the room. The concept of neutral and pastel colours ran perfectly in the entire house, exactly the way Mr and Mrs Anand had desired.

These were the 3 rooms designed for our client in the greener part of Vasant Kunj. The entire process from conceptualizing to designing and then execution had been a very eventful and satisfying project. We were so glad that it was beyond the expectations of our clients.
