Interior Designing , East of Kailash, Delhi

We have made a few design concepts for an independent house in Delhi. The underlying idea was a simple yet sophisticated, clutter free and peaceful look. The plot was a corner one in East of Kailash, one with plenty of sunshine streaming in so natural light was not a problem. After the initial discussions with the clients, we arrived at a palette of white, grey, blue, brick red and shades of oak and maple. In many places we suggested dressing the walls with a cool shade of grey.

Kitchen

One of the most interesting areas is always the kitchen. We stuck to a serene all white kitchen .We suggested a white marble backsplash and white glossy cabinets. Of course everything needs a bit of color. Black sinks, black switch plates and black window frames add appeal. The brick wall finds its place very easily. This concept looks sophisticated since there is a lovely view of verdant greenery outside.

Living Room

The outdoor living room has been given a part rustic part industrial look with high ceilings and floor to ceiling interesting columns for mantle pieces and storage options. To capture maximum amount of sunlight a light wooden flooring is the best. Glass doors with Scandinavian frames look graceful. A brick wall overlooking the glass frames only add to the charm. Luxurious turquoise blue tufted sofa sets add warmth. A collection of industrial pendant lights add elegance to evening get-togethers. This living room design would look good the daytime as well as late evenings. Two tier marble and brass centre tables in the centre and at the side match the seating.

Dining Room

A spacious dining table area in an earthy tone with comfortable light green upholstered chairs is inviting enough. To break the monotony of the wooden look a white marble table top adds sophistication to this area. Large spaces for storage are included. A beautiful atomic light provides the gentle splendor. With so much of natural light pouring in, keeping large windows in the dining is a must for starting the day with breakfast or a cup of coffee. It gives you all the energy you need to start with the day.

Bedroom & Study

This bedroom has a muted and understated look with a dark grey wall cladding behind the headboard. Dark grey shelving units add to the storage and sleekness. A study cum reading nook was mandatory. The study chair is a beautiful teal. The entire room of course is in line with the colors of the rest of the house. The design concept presented to the client was much in line with their expectations and they did decide to go ahead with its execution for their house in East of Kailash, New Delhi.
