The Chhabra house is a bungalow in the exclusive locality of Panchsheel Park in south Delhi. The bungalow is a 3-storey building – a private family house that has the basement as the space for holding social events. It is a fantastic site that offered plenty of opportunities for the Design Team of Interior Designers at Marks Dzyn to create a beautiful home. The bungalow is 4400 sq.ft and includes a living room, kitchen and a dining area, 3 bedrooms, 4 washrooms and balconies on the first floor and a complete entertainment zone cum office space in the basement.
The living room has a muted color palette of neutral beiges and browns (which make the room look more spacious) with a pop of a royal red. The overall theme gives the space a luxurious-cozy feel with the precise amount of light. Our interior designers suggested to add the carpet which adds warmth. The false ceiling is a simple design with cove lights and a brass sputnik atomic chandelier adds class to the room.
The Master Bedroom again follows a blend of beiges and browns. Addressing the client’s need for simplicity but definitely sophisticated is the priority for our interior designer, the layout was kept standard; however some elements were made to stand out. The wooden bed back panel with veneer finishes the key element in this room. The cove accentuates the wall art which adorns the wall and the texture paint with hints of gold does justice to the whole look. The furniture was customized as per the client’s requirement.
The main focus in this room is the feature wall which has been very carefully designed by our designer. The color scheme here is dynamic and bold. The black textured wallpaper with stainless steel inlay amalgamates beautifully with the wooden battens finished in white duco. The black and white framed photos grace the other wall. The furniture has been kept modern and sleek with the bottle green ottoman adding a pinch of color to the room.
The Guest Bedroom has been designed as an uncomplicated and a sophisticated space. The beaded walls with wall paintings give it that classic look reminiscent of the old world charm. The patterned carpet breaks the overall monotony. Nice the unusual fan blending with the room so politely.
The basement, where the family spends most of their time, was a particular focus. There is a living area with a bar designed specifically as an entertainment zone where the family also hosts get-togethers quite often. It was given a rustic-industrial look and feel with exposed brick work, wooden battens, texture paint and industrial light fixtures. This area shows an amazing blend of modern and rustic character.
This was a challenging project for our team of interior designers at Marks Dzyn. We simply loved designing all aspects of it suiting the tastes of all four members yet intertwining them in a harmonious way.
